Work in progress…

“On the Pier”

Among other things, I enjoy producing sketches to accompany poems (mostly) that I write. One form of inspiration is to base the poem, as well as the sketch, off of a photograph I have taken.

While I also enjoy pencil sketches without colorization, the intention is to add color to this one (above). However, there is a fear… What if I make a mistake? Then the sketch I have produced is marred and I will have to make another. I know that I am not uber-talented in any sense, but I happen to like this sketch, so, yes, there is a fear to begin the coloring process…

To put marker (in this case watercolor brush pen) to paper…

But fears are meant to be faced so please join me again at a later date(s) as I share my progress. Perhaps I’ll share the finished product or make it available in some other capacity.

In any event, this is not only enjoyable, in and of itself, but therapeutic, as well, and the journey, itself, is, of course, the destination…
